What a lovely day in Old Town. We met up when the sun was starting to set so we had beautiful soft light. And this puppy was absolutely adorable. Margo played and played and played. I hope to run into her again someday…. as I imagine as an adult she will still have a playful nature!
Wow! How fun is this. Two kittens….. in a beautiful room with tons of natural light. My nephews are now the owners of a couple of playful kittens. I had a great time lying on the floor and shooting away!
A big surprise awaited me at my friends house. I was invited over and told to bring my camera… but I was not told why. I was greeted at the door by a giant playful German Shepherd! What fun! This big guy captured my attention. I look forward to taking many more pictures of him!

In late August we went to Dewey Beach with our neighbors. One of the reasons I love this beach is because they allow dogs in the morning and evening. I had so much fun using the light bouncing off the ocean. And of course just watching the dogs was the best part!
What a great way to end the summer. One of the public pools in Alexandria (Cameron Run) has an event called “Dog Days of Summer.” You can bring your dog for a swim in the giant wave pool. I had endless fun capturing the dogs playing in the water. I had so much today! I attended the Dog Days of Summer.. I am already looking forward to next year. I hope you enjoy these pictures. I am such a dog person… it is an absolute delight to be with other dog people!
Kids, dogs, neighbors and watermelon. Summer days just do not get any better than this!
What a lovely petting zoo. We had a great time wandering around. The light was a bit bright but I think that leads to some great black & white images.
